The Game

This is a tale of two friends, the best of friends. One was a king, mighty as his name yet humble and sane. The other an underdog. Nothing did he have but a dream to be the best, the best he could be.
"I shall defeat u, i shall be better. Dont smile... fight me rather."
The king accepted, he wanted his friend to know, battles are fought by the great not by the people made of snow.
"I pray for competition, give ur best, oh friend destiny shall alter the rest."
Down went the underdog who went without practice.
Laughed the man as loud as he could at the poor mans chrisis.
"i am gold, u iron. U should run away. This field is for lions."
"u are wise the people say, never advice an underdog to run away."
Day n night he fought for his dream.
"I want my dignity, how long has it been."
The second battle and the king wasnt astound. He knew he had pinched the right nerve. Underdog had raised the game , excuses not found.
Like equals they stood, the king was just a little ahead. It was time for the final battle, wise things were said.
"U made me learn by laughing at my pain. I am now living again. But i will fight now because its not glory that u want nor the fame u just want to play ur best game."
The dust had settled, the smoke was clear, in place was everything. Only one thing had changed, nobody believed, the underdog had defeated the king. The two champions celebrated with happy tears, these men would never live in fear. Because it was never for glory nor for fame, it was all about playing the game.

(Dear king, i hear a lot of " i am a loser and my life sucks" from u.. I am still just an underdog and i will do what we do best and that is to fight. One more time for old times sake... i want u to stand up and fight. Because it was never for glory or for fame... it was always about playing the game.)

  1. Underdog - A person who is expected to lose in a contest or conflict.
You have concentrated very well on the word "EXPECTED" to lose. The thing is, what people EXPECT does not always happen.
    You traced that out beautifully!
    Cheers!
